Your gift of any amount will place books in the hands of children and put them on a path to greater learning.

Happy Labour Day!

August 31, 2017

Did you know that Labour Day is an annual holiday that celebrates the achievements of workers? Labour Day began with the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. Great idea! In Canada, we celebrate Labour Day on the first Monday in September, which is considered the unofficial end of summer, with students returning to school. We hope you enjoy the Labour Day weekend and find some time to rest and relax.
